Program Description: Future Stars

Future Stars: U5-U8

The OSU Future Stars is designed to create a development-first environment, focused on helping our youngest players fall in love with the game. 

The program is delivered by our professional coaching team, through a proven training curriculum, focused on individual skill (technical) development. Participants can expect to have the ball at their feet and learning how to be comfortable with the ball in all scenarios, such as dribbling, turning, shielding, passing and shooting.

The OSU Future Stars Program is offered once per week, on a seasonal basis (Summer or Winter). During the training, players can expect to have skill development training followed by small sided games (2v2, 3v3 model) to maximize their touches on the ball. The season is one extended program, usually between 16 (Summer) and 20 (Winter) weeks.

Participants in the OSU Future Stars will most often graduate into the Pre-Academy to continue their development journey, and benefit from additional soccer training each week (see more below).

Program Description: Pre-Academy

The OSU Pre-Academy is our most advanced development program for young players, focused on helping them master their foundational skills and game understanding. Beginning in 2012. the OSU Pre-Academy program was the first development centre in Eastern Ontario to focus on professional level coaching for players in the U7-U8 age groups.  Since this time, numerous graduates have gone on to play professionally and represent Canada after getting their start in the Pre-Academy.

The program is delivered by our professional coaching team, through a proven training curriculum, focused on individual skill (technical) development. The OSU Pre-Academy is for children who love soccer and are also interested in regular training each week to continue to improve, and aspire towards competitive (Force Academy) soccer, as they develop, after their graduation from Pre-Academy (U8 to U9 season)

The OSU Pre-Academy Program is offered twice per week, on a year-round basis. Players may request to join the program at anytime, however our main in-take periods are the Fall (September-October) and Spring (March and April).

Players can expect one dedicated training session per week along with a dedicated game-day, focused on 4v4-5v5 style play. Additional events such as festivals with other clubs are also organized throughout the year.
